The Ozark Tea Party is primarily an organization that grew out of the frustrations of community residents in the North Central Arkansas area after the disastrous spending sprees of Congress in 2008 and 2009. Richard Caster, a lifelong resident of Mountain Home organized the Ozark Tea Party on April 15th 2009. Along with millions of citizens all over America, local community residents protested their disaffection with spending and tax policies of an out-of control federal government.
THE TWO MAJOR GOALS OF THE OZARK TEA PARTY in 2012 is to insure that President Obama is not re-elected to a second term on November 6th and to communicate to Senator Pryor, Senator Boozman, and Congressman Crawford that we want results in cutting federal government deficits, cutting federal spending, repealing Obamacare, and reversing the policies that are taking our freedoms away.
Millions of Americans voted for Barack Obama in the hope that he would be a trailblazer who would conduct the presidency in a new way. Well, he has! President Obama has been the most divisive president in our modern history, unabashedly stirring up hatred against not only his political enemies, but against private citizens who are exercising their right to participate in our democracy. President Obama's domestic programs have not only failed to get our economy growing they have made it worse. His foreign policies have failed and today we are less safe. 22-MILLION REASONS TO VOTE AGAINST THE GARBAGE TAX ON OCTOBER 9
The NABORS Interlocal Alliance is proposing a 3/8 sales tax and a $22 million bond debt for Baxter taxpayers in the October 9, 2012 Special Election. Here’s why you should vote NO on these proposals.
- Brief background.
The NABORS Interlocal Alliance (the Alliance) wants to buy the NABORS Landfill & Hauling Company from the present owner, Ozark Mountain Solid Waste Management District (the District). The District is composed of the 6 counties of Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Marion, Newton, and Searcy. The Alliance was created in early 2010 by Baxter and Marion counties and the city of Mountain Home.
- The original acquisition plan is no longer possible.
In its articles of creation, the Alliance planned to acquire all of the District’s assets by assuming all outstanding debts, including $12 million in old bond debt, and take responsibility for all operating, financial, and environmental liability. But the Alliance’s financial advisors found out that this was not legally permissible. Also, the landfill and hauling company was in danger of defaulting because income was not sufficient to pay for existing debt. The Alliance had to find another way to get money to buy the company.
- Tax and spend.
The Alliance directors determined that they would need about $17 million… or $18 million… or $20 million or $22.6 million…oh, let’s call it $22 million to buy the company. This amount of bonds would retire the old bonds, pay the expenses of selling the new bonds, and provide some money for improvements and environmental cleanup that hadn’t been accomplished in the past 8 or more years. But it would provide nothing to improve operating revenue.
To raise the $22 million, they would sell $22 million in bonds and, because operations could never cover the expense of repaying the debt, they proposed an increase in sales taxes by 3/8 cent in Baxter County to pay for the bonds over their 12 to 20 year life.
- The intended protection of Baxter County and its taxpayers will be eliminated.
When the Baxter County Quorum Court passed the ordinance creating the Alliance in 2010, promises were made by the proposers (in particular, by Messrs. Joe Bodenhamer and David Osmon) that the county and the taxpayers would be shielded from financial and environmental liability. This protection would be provided by the state statutes under which the Alliance was created. This was affirmed by County Attorney Ron Kincade in a letter dated July 19, 2010.
If the tax and bond debt is passed, that promised protection will be eliminated. Under the Alliance’s proposal, ONLY Baxter County taxpayers will bear the 3/8 cent increase in sales tax and ONLY Baxter County taxpayers will be indebted in the amount of $22 million. The other counties that are presently members of the 6-county consortium will be relieved of all responsibility for environmental damage, all liability for the present bond indebtedness, all bank debts, all operating responsibility. Those counties will benefit from the new ownership but they will bear none of the risk of ownership and none of the jeopardy of operations.
Baxter County voters have an opportunity to reject this ill-conceived & dangerous tax and bond proposal. Vote NO on October 9. Save Baxter County from an act of fiscal suicide.
Abuse of the federal Lifeline (Free Cell Phones) program
Check your cell phone bill. Another program initiated by our out of control government without any accountability which you’re paying for on your monthly cell phone bill.
To participate in the program, consumers must either have an income that is at or below 135% of the federal Poverty Guidelines or participate in one of twelve (12) assistance programs offered by the government.
According to the FCC Encyclopedia on Lifeline Program for Low-Income Consumers
Federal rules prohibit eligible low-income consumers from receiving more than one Lifeline discount per household. An eligible consumer may receive a discount on either a wireline or wireless service, but not both. A consumer whose household currently is receiving more than one Lifeline service must select a single Lifeline provider and contact the other provider to de-enroll from their program. Consumers violating this rule may also be subject to criminal and/or civil penalties. (Obviously no one is responsible for enforcing this rule or this woman wouldn’t have 30 cell phones at your expense)???

Young Immigrants Can File to Defer Deportation Aug. 15
Obama administration officials said Friday that they would begin on Aug. 15 to process applications from hundreds of thousands of young illegal immigrants expected to seek two-year deferrals of deportation.
To encourage the maximum number of young people to come forward, Homeland Security officials gave assurances that information from the applications would not beused for immigration enforcement, which is handled by a 
separate agency. Illegal immigrants can apply whether they are already in deportation proceedings or they have never been detected by the authorities, officials said.
The initiative covers immigrants who could gain legal status under legislation known as the Dream Act, which has stalled in Congress.
By encouraging illegals to register before Congress has even passed the Dream Act, the Obama administration is violating our Federal Immigration Law which is supposed to control immigration to the U.S. Do you realize how this administration continues to violate our laws and Constitution even without the President’s presence in his office?

Judicial Watch Sues
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and fights government corruption, announced today that on July 18, 2012, it filed a Freedom
of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (No. 1:12-cv-01181)) against the Obama Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeking access to records detailing taxpayer-funded grants provided by the Centers for Disease Control to the National Council of La Raza (The National Council of “The Race”).
The National Council of La Raza, which openly advocates for illegal alien sanctuary policies, has also been linked to the Mexican reconquista movement, which seeks to conquer the American Southwest and return it to Mexico.
Cecilia Muñoz previously served as Senior Vice President for the Office of Research, Advocacy and Legislation at the National Council of La Raza. Because her appointment would have violated Barack Obama’s lobbyist ban, the president granted Muñoz an “ethics waiver” so she could join his administration as Director of Intergovernmental affairs. (Muñoz now serves as the Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council.)

What does it mean when Congress is in recess?
A Congressional session runs for one year, 3 January to sometime in December. But Congress does not meet each and every business day of the year. For example, Congress often holds business sessions only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so that legislators can visit their constituents over a long weekend that includes a work day. At such times, Congress has not adjourned but is, instead, recessed. The Legislative Reorganization Act of 1970 stipulated a 30-day recess each August, except in time of war. Congress also recesses the week of a federal holiday.
Doesn’t it appear that Congress accomplishes more when recessed than they do during the regular session? So, why are we paying for an office, staff and their time to warm a seat in Washington three (3) days a week and even then they often don’t always show up to vote on crucial issues?

Senate Not Doing Its Job
The Democrats control the Senate but haven’t passed a budget in three and a half years! How can that be, you ask? Well, because sound fiscal policy goes to die in the Senate. Neither has the Senate voted on numerous bills passed by The House to address job creation.

Obama Campaign Sues to Restrict Military Voting
The Commander in Chief? suing his troops. This is disgraceful! The President and the Democratic Party should be ashamed but it is indicative of their lack of honorable character.
On July 17th, the Obama for America Campaign, the Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Democratic Party filed suit in OH to strike down part of that state’s law governing voting by members of the military. Their suit said that part of the law is “arbitrary” with “no discernible rational basis.”
It is unconscionable that we as a nation wouldn’t make it as easy as possible for members of the military to vote. They arguably have more right to vote than the rest of us, since it is their service and sacrifice that ensures we have the right to vote in the first place.
Republicans have been battling for Voter ID laws. They should include in that battle protection of the military’s vote.
We all know what is coming in November. The race will probably be close and this is the Chicago style thuggery of applying pressure where the Democrats can in order to cheat in the elections. Make no mistake about it, attempts to restrict the military’s vote is an attempt at voter fraud.
Any judge of good moral principles would reject this.

Build the Pipeline, Not the Bridge
Obama still refuses to issue the presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, a vital project that will bring energy we need and unleash billions in private investment.
Now he’s poised to divert and distract from that disastrous decision by approving a presidential permit for a very different type of project – a government bridge, built with billions of our federal taxpayer dollars, that is unnecessary and would actually compete with a privately owned bridge.
The Governor of Michigan has submitted an application to the US Department of State,seeking a Presidential Permit to build a new multi-billion-dollar bridge between Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario, known as the “Detroit River International Crossing.”
The Michigan legislature has already rejected this boondoggle, because it competes with a successful privately-owned bridge that stands ready to add another privately-funded span to meet future demand.
Here’s how the scam works: Canada puts up $550 million and they get to collect the tolls to make their money back. And then Michigan can rip off federal taxpayers for $2.2 billion in matching funds and – get this – the Lieutenant Governor said Michigan won’t spend “a dime”! (Don’t they pay federal taxes in Michigan?)
We can’t let Obama announce this approval to great fanfare and brag about construction jobs on this unnecessary, wasteful project when the necessary pipeline remains blocked. Please send your comment to the State Department today and spread the word on this scam.

Do you wonder why we have to do the thinking for members of Congress? What are we paying them for? November is the time to vote out all incumbents that are apparently incapable of doing the job we hired them to do and who don’t understand what we mean when we say “STOP SPENDING”, and vote in new warm bodies We the People have vetted (appraised, verified, checked for authenticity, validity, etc) and hold them continuously accountable for their action or inaction. Liberty-Crushing HHS Mandate Takes Effect August 1, 2012
TODAY, August 1, Obamacare’s preventive health services mandate will be implemented, and with it the Health and Human Services (HHS) anti-conscience mandate. After today, nearly all employers will be forced, at the beginning of their next health plan year, to pay for coverage of abortion-inducing drugs, contraception, and sterilization—regardless of moral or religious objections.
Despite the false assurances of the Obama Administration, the bottom line is the stifling effects of this Administration’s attack on religious liberty will begin to be felt, with for-profit businesses and non-exempt religious organizations, Democrat and Republican alike, as the first of many casualties, .
Most of us here in the US are familiar with the first Amendment to the US Constitution (in part): “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;…“
It should be a warning sign to Americans that one of the first parts of Obamacare to be implemented will force employers with religious and moral convictions to violate their consciences.
The answer is to repeal Obamacare and replace it with health care reform that reduces 
costs, increases access, and leaves personal health care decisions where they belong—in the hands of the American people.
Those among the president’s supporters who condone the administration’s running roughshod over the freedom of conscience would do well to remember that there will be another Republican in the White House some day, and that the precedent set here will be available to presidents of all philosophical orientations. The purpose of the Bill of Rights is to explicitly limit the power of government over critical spheres of life: the press, the private home, and the church among them. A government that intrudes into one will intrude into the others soon enough.

Obama Admin Releases Illegal Immigrant Violent Criminals If They Are ‘Dreamers’ of America
Federal immigration officers have been ordered by the Obama Administration to release illegal immigrants arrested for violent crimes as long as they claim to be “dreamers” who
came to the U.S. as children and are being allowed to remain in the country under a new policy.
The astounding directive was made public by a pair of officials who work for separate front-line agencies of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Border Patrol. The men, longtime agents, are also union heads who represent thousands of immigration officers around country.
Illegal immigrants are essentially running the show, avoiding detention by exploiting the Obama Administration’s controversial plan to spare nearly 1 million young illegal immigrants (so-called “dreamers”) from deportation. Under the deferred action process, announced just a few weeks ago, “young people brought to the United States through no fault of their own as children” will have a chance at U.S. citizenship.

More Stealth Amnesty Behind The Scenes
President Obama’s controversial plan to spare nearly 1 million young illegal immigrants from deportation has received lots of media attention, but most Americans may not realize the administration is also working behind the scenes granting stealth amnesty to many more undocumented aliens.
It’s bad enough that the commander-in-chief has blown off Congress by giving “young people brought to the United States through no fault of their own as children” a chance at U.S. citizenship. There was a Rose Garden press conference and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a bilingual announcement explaining the “deferred action process” for illegal immigrants brought to the United States as young children.
