The Ozark Tea Party is primarily an organization that grew out of the frustrations of community residents in the North Central Arkanas area after the disastrous spending sprees of Congress in 2008 and 2009.

Richard Caster, a Mountain Home resident for all his life, organized the State’s largest Tea Party on April 15th 2009. Along with millions of citizens all over America, local community residents protested their disaffection with the spending and tax policies of an out-of control federal government.

Other events followed in 2009 and as the summer heat wore on so did the anxiety over healthcare, cap and trade and national defense. The Ozark Tea Party Coordinating Committee is committed to bringing information and events to the community for the sole purpose of maintaining the democratic republic that was founded in 1776 and fought for by our fathers and grandfathers so valiantly over the years.
